My Journey

Hi! I’m Amanda – your biomedical engineer-turned-Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. I am so glad you’re here!

My journey to functional nutrition started about 3 years ago when my husband and I lost our first baby in an unexplained miscarriage. I had just recovered from surgery to remove endometriosis, and never in a million years would have thought miscarriage would be part of my motherhood story. Over the next year, we experienced infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss despite “perfect” lab work, a daily mouthful of fertility supplements, and all our efforts to live a healthy lifestyle. I knew there had to be something we were missing.

My problem-solving, engineering brain kicked into overdrive and I dove head first into all things fertility – that’s when I came across nutritional therapy. I learned how to be my own health detective and take a root-cause approach to our fertility struggles, connecting the dots between daily symptoms, cycle tracking, and nutritional needs. Shortly after, we got pregnant and had our beautiful, healthy baby girl.

It may seem that my story was simple and easy now that it has a happy ending, but I know that it was anything BUT simple and easy, and it breaks my heart knowing that other women are walking that same road – exhausted, hopeless, and overwhelmed – when there is absolutely a better way! Graceful Fertility and Wellness is the result of my pain-turned-passion – a space where I hope to encourage women in their journeys of both fertility and faith. It is a true honor to help bring answers and hope to those I work with.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is a holistic, evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing root causes of symptoms rather than simply managing them. Using the body’s God-designed ability to heal, we can work to restore balance by correcting nutrient deficiencies, supporting underperforming systems, battling inflammation, and creating an environment where the body can thrive.

The five foundations of Nutritional Therapy include a nutrient-dense diet, healthy digestion, balanced blood sugar, restorative sleep, and stress management. These foundations are essential for hormone balance, fertility, and overall well-being—especially in a world filled with nutrient-depleted foods, environmental toxins, and constant mental and physical overwhelm.

Nutritional therapy can be a powerful complement to conventional medicine, and it is often an important place to look when traditional care feels rushed or incomplete. By taking the time to dig deeper and personalize care, we can uncover patterns and imbalances that are often overlooked—providing clarity, hope, and tangible next steps for your fertility healing journey.
